Nutrition provides the building blocks for all of our tissues and is required for every function in the body. With all of my patients I start by assessing diet because what we put into our bodies every day very much affects how it performs.

Clinical nutrition is the therapeutic use of food targeted to optimize health through attaining the proper nutritional requirements. You are unique and this means not one diet is right for everyone.

Typically I start by “cleaning up your diet” which essentially focuses on the intake of a variety of whole foods while minimizing the consumption of processed foods, refined sugars, trans-fats, and food sensitivities.  Even if you have a really healthy diet, if your body is sensitive to the kinds of foods you are eating, those foods may not be right for you.

Navigating all of this information can be overwhelming on your own as there is so much information out there.  Using nutrition clinically requires assessment of digestion, absorption, assimilation and excretion, and extensive knowledge of natural nutrition and the impact on human physiology. This is why it helps to employ the help of a health expert.

Working together we will determine what your unique nutritional needs are based on your lifestyle, finances, and willingness to change your diet. We will start to address any of your symptoms by first building a nutritional foundation so you feel more resilient.

Some of the diets I use in practice are:

  • Whole 30 diet

  • Gluten-free diet

  • Anti-inflammatory diet

  • Food Sensitivity Elimination diet

  • Anti-candida diet

  • Ketogenic diet

  • Paleo diet
